Inventory Controller — Central Production Unit (CPU)
Own stock accuracy at Joud’s CPU. Cut waste, keep production flowing, and power our cafés every day.
Job Description
Joud Coffee is building a best-in-class Central Production Unit to supply our cafés with consistent, high-quality product. We’re hiring an Inventory Controller to own stock accuracy, reduce waste, and keep production flowing. You’ll work closely with CPU Operations, Cost Control, and Procurement.
What you’ll do
• Own end-to-end inventory for raw materials, packaging, and smallwares at the CPU (receiving → storage → issuing → dispatch → returns).
• Create/verify GRNs; reconcile supplier invoices, shortages, and damages within 24h.
• Enforce FIFO/FEFO, lot/batch tracking, expiry and temperature controls; maintain HACCP logs.
• Maintain accurate stock cards in ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and align with POS/production reports (e.g., Foodics exports).
• Issue materials to production against BOMs; post consumption and variances; investigate yield losses.
• Run ABC cycle counts (A: daily / B: weekly / C: monthly) and a monthly full stocktake; publish variance reports with corrective actions.
• Set and maintain pars/safety stock; flag slow/obsolete items and propose write-offs or transfers.
• Coordinate daily dispatch to cafés (pick lists, crate counts, delivery notes) and manage café returns/claims.
• Standardize SKU master data, units of measure, barcodes/labels, and storage locations.
• Partner with Cost Control to monitor COGS, wastage, and purchase price changes; support supplier tenders.
• Drive continuous improvement in storage layout, counting methods, and data quality.
What you’ll bring
• 3–5 years’ inventory control experience in F&B manufacturing/CPU/bakery or similar.
• Strong Excel/Sheets skills (lookups, pivots) and hands-on ERP experience (preferably Dynamics 365 BC).
• Working knowledge of BOMs, yields, and production issuing/consumption.
• Organized, detail-driven, and comfortable on the floor (can lift up to 20 kg; confident in cold-store work).
• Familiar with HACCP, food safety, and FEFO practices.
• Clear written/spoken English; Arabic is a plus. UAE experience preferred.
Schedule & location
• On-site at the CPU (Abu Dhabi).
• 6-day workweek; early starts to cover inbound receiving and end-of-day reconciliations.
• Full-time, immediate start.
