Business Data Analyst (Microsoft BI) — F&B
Own the dashboards that steer Joud Coffee. Turn POS & ERP data into decisions with Microsoft BI. If you love F&B metrics and fast action, join our Abu Dhabi team.
The role
You will own our BI stack end-to-end: ingesting data, building clean models, and delivering clear dashboards that drive action. You’ll partner with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain to surface the metrics that matter (AOV, attachment rate, COGS, labor %, waste, menu mix, cohort retention, store P&L, campaign ROI, etc.).
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards (DAX, Power Query) for daily/weekly exec and outlet views.
- Model and transform data from POS, ERP, inventory, and other sources into a single source of truth.
- Publish and govern datasets, set refresh schedules, and manage row-level security.
- Build automated KPI packs (email/Teams summaries) and self-serve datasets for stakeholders.
- Deep-dive analyses: menu engineering, price tests, promo/seasonality, forecasting, and store benchmarking.
- Create clear documentation, data dictionaries, and how-to guides for non-technical users.
- QA data quality; resolve anomalies with vendors and internal teams.
- Support ad-hoc questions with fast queries and crisp narratives that drive decisions.
Must-have qualifications
- 3+ years in analytics/BI; at least 2 years hands-on with Microsoft BI (Power BI, Power Query, DAX).
- Strong SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions) and data modeling (star/snowflake).
- Proven record turning messy operational data into simple executive dashboards.
- Business acumen in F&B/retail (store ops, margins, inventory, promos).
- Excellent communication: you can translate analysis into action for non-analysts.
- Ownership mindset; comfortable working at speed with imperfect data.
Nice to have
- Experience with Foodics POS, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Supy, or similar systems.
- Python for analysis/automation; Power Automate/Power Apps for light workflows.
- Forecasting/experimentation (baseline vs. lift, cohort retention, seasonality).
- Arabic language skills.
Tools & data sources you’ll touch
Power BI (Service/Desktop), DAX, Power Query, SQL Server/Azure SQL, Excel, Dynamics 365 BC, POS exports (e.g., Foodics), inventory/procurement, staffing/labor, marketing & e-commerce.

About Joud Coffee
Joud Coffee (“Joud”) was founded in 2015 with the mission of introducing speciality coffee to Abu Dhabi.
After opening our first cafe in the Al Bateen, we have expanded to neighbourhoods across the city where each location offers a uniquely designed space for our community to gather and experience our delicious food, pastry, and coffee offerings.
We are proud to roast our beans in small batches at our roasting facility in Abu Dhabi, sourcing them through ethical and sustainable direct trade partnerships that connect us to coffee growers and traders around the globe.
Today, Joud has its presence in more than 11 locations and continues to grow within the region.
